Hi there :)  I said a while ago that I was experimenting with mixed media.  This painting is one of the ones I am most happy with.  I had a lot of disasters, including gel medium splitting for some reason and going all goopy (yuck), which completely ruined a work I really liked.  Oh well. 

I was happy with the colours on this one but the mixed media background may have too much going on for my liking.  I'm still learning and really enjoying the random messiness of it all, considering I used to be addicted to being neat and tidy with my art.  I wish I could be that tidy round my house :)

Yes, it's another cat.  This series of small grey animals are not personal work but are being made to produce fridge magnets for Willunga Gallery.  I have a couple more to go.
